Voice Commands

Talk to Demi the way you would talk to a real assistant. No scripts, no special phrases — just say what you need.

How It Works

  1. 1

    Tap the Orb

Tap the Demi Orb on the home screen to activate the microphone. There is no wake word to remember — one tap and Demi is listening. The orb brightens to let you know it is ready.

  2. 2

    Speak Naturally

Say what you need in plain language, exactly the way you would ask a human assistant. A live transcript appears on screen as you speak, so you can see that Demi is hearing you correctly.

  3. 3

    Choose When to Run

When you are done speaking, two options appear. Tap Start to have Demi begin working on your request immediately, or tap Later to save it as a task you can run whenever you are ready.

Note

Demi requires at least two words to process a request. This prevents accidental submissions from brief noises or stray taps.

Tool Modes for Focused Responses

Before tapping the orb, you can select a tool mode (like Calendar, Tasks, or Research) from the home screen. This tells Demi to focus its response on that specific area, which can speed things up and improve accuracy. For example, selecting the Calendar mode before saying "What do I have tomorrow?" ensures Demi goes straight to your calendar without guessing your intent.

Tool modes are entirely optional. If you skip them, Demi will figure out the right context from your words.

Example Commands

Here are some examples organized by category to give you a sense of what Demi can do from your wrist:

Calendar

"What meetings do I have tomorrow?" or "Schedule a call with Sarah at 3pm on Friday."

Email

"Email John about the project update" or "Draft a reply to the last email from Lisa."

Research

"Find the latest news about AI" or "What is the stock price of Apple right now?"

Tasks

"Check my Asana tasks for this sprint" or "What is the status of the redesign project?"

Conversational Context

Demi remembers the context of your conversation, so you can give follow-up commands without repeating yourself. If you just asked Demi to draft an email to John, you can follow up with "also send that to Sarah" and Demi understands you mean the same email.

This makes multi-step workflows feel effortless. Research a topic, ask Demi to compile it into a report, then tell it to email the report — all in a natural back-and-forth, right from your wrist.

Pro Tip

You do not need to be overly specific. Saying "check my calendar and email me a summary of today's meetings" is enough for Demi to read your calendar, gather the details, and send you a formatted email — all in one request.
